Women's sober living near Bloomington

Bloomington has more treatment beds than any city we serve, all of it at one organization. Cedar House Life Change Center runs a 125-bed detox campus, an outpatient programme, and separately a licensed residential programme for women and children. That last one is the single highest-value referral relationship in the region, because its graduates need exactly what we provide: non-clinical women's housing.

Treatment and hospitals

Bloomington is unincorporated county and has no hospital (CHHS facility data). What it has is the largest treatment campus in this service area.

Cedar House Life Change Center, 18612 Santa Ana Avenue, (909) 421-7120, is a licensed and certified 125-bed residential detox, co-ed, and runs a separate certified outpatient programme at the same address (DHCS licensed facilities).

Separately, at 10888 Maple Avenue, the same organization operates a licensed residential programme for women and children, with a treatment capacity of 11 and total capacity of 26 (DHCS). A woman completing a women-and-children treatment programme needs non-clinical housing next, and that is the handoff this house is built for.

All three are treatment, not sober living — referral partners, not competitors. We provide housing only, and we do not accept children.

Women's meetings

No women's AA meeting is listed in Bloomington (Inland Empire AA). The nearest is Fontana — Women Doing the Work, Tuesdays 5:30 p.m., Relevant Church, 15375 Baseline Avenue, Suite 6, then Redlands with seven women's meetings and Upland — Fridays 9:30 a.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m., The Meeting Place, 945 West Foothill Boulevard (Inland Empire AA).

Residents pick their own recovery support program, secular or faith-based. We do not designate a program, require a particular meeting, or hold meetings at the house.

Survivors of domestic violence

Some of the women we house are leaving an abusive home rather than a treatment bed. For them the housing question is the whole question — the practical alternative to a bed is often going back to the person she left.

We do not publish the address of the house. It is given only to accepted residents and to the agencies that refer them. And to be clear about what this is: Her Aria is not a licensed domestic violence shelter. We do not provide protective services, security services, legal advocacy, restraining order help or safety planning. Those stay with a woman's own advocate, attorney and law enforcement agency.

There is no DV provider inside Bloomington. Option House covers the area with a 24-hour crisis line at (909) 381-3471 (SB County). San Bernardino Sexual Assault Services is at 444 North Arrowhead Avenue, Suite 103, (909) 335-8777, and the District Attorney's Victim Services office is at 303 West 3rd Street, (909) 382-3846, with a second office inside Arrowhead Regional at 400 North Pepper Avenue, Colton, (909) 580-1443 (SB County DA). What Bloomington doesn't have

Bloomington is a direct-competition city and we will say so plainly. The CCAPP registry lists one certified residence here — Sanctuary House, at Level 2, operated by the same organization that runs the Cedar House treatment campus (CCAPP). There are no network listings (Sober Living Network). Bloomington and Redlands are the only two cities in this service area with any certified residence at all.

One residence does not absorb a 125-bed detox campus plus a women-and-children programme. When it is full, or when a woman needs to be somewhere other than the campus she just left, we are 24 minutes west: women only, gated, MAT welcome, one monthly fee, no deposit. Refer a client.

Getting here from Bloomington

Omnitrans Route 19 serves Bloomington directly and runs through Colton, Fontana, Rialto and Redlands; Route 66 runs Fontana to Montclair via Foothill, and Route 290 runs Colton – Ontario – Montclair (Omnitrans). The nearest Metrolink San Bernardino Line stations are Rialto and Fontana, both direct west to Montclair (Metrolink).

Residents keep their own jobs, prescribers and court dates. Getting to them without a car is the test that matters.
