Women's sober living near La Verne

La Verne is one of the closest cities we serve, and we will be straight about it: there is already a women's sober living home listed here. What La Verne does not have is a hospital, a treatment programme, or a women's meeting of its own. It sits between Claremont's referral flow and Pomona's, which is where the volume actually comes from.

Treatment and hospitals

La Verne has no licensed hospital and no licensed treatment programme (CHHS facility data; DHCS licensed facilities). The nearest hospital is San Dimas Community Hospital, 1350 West Covina Boulevard, (909) 305-5616 — 101 licensed beds, 8 emergency department treatment stations and 13,983 emergency visits in 2024, with no psychiatric beds (CHHS).

The referral flow that matters here runs through Claremont and Pomona, both of which have licensed programmes discharging women who need somewhere sober to live. We provide housing only — no clinical care, no counselling, no case management.

Women's meetings

No women's AA meeting is listed in La Verne (LA Central Office; SGV Central Office). Claremont, minutes away, has three: Mondays 10:30 a.m. and Saturdays 11:00 a.m. at Claremont Presbyterian Church, 1111 North Mountain, and Women's Participation, Fridays 6:30 p.m., Claremont United Church of Christ, 233 Harrison Avenue (SGV Central Office). Glendora adds Women's Rule 62, Fridays 6:30 p.m., 827 South Lone Hill Avenue (SGV Central Office).

Residents pick their own recovery support program, secular or faith-based. We do not designate a program, require a particular meeting, or hold meetings at the house.

Survivors of domestic violence

Some of the women we house are leaving an abusive home rather than a treatment bed. For them the housing question is the whole question — the practical alternative to a bed is often going back to the person she left.

We do not publish the address of the house. It is given only to accepted residents and to the agencies that refer them. And to be clear about what this is: Her Aria is not a licensed domestic violence shelter. We do not provide protective services, security services, legal advocacy, restraining order help or safety planning. Those stay with a woman's own advocate, attorney and law enforcement agency.

There is no DV provider inside La Verne. The nearest is House of Ruth, (909) 623-4364, 24-hour line (877) 988-5559 in Claremont. What La Verne doesn't have

La Verne is a direct-competition city and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. The Sober Living Network lists one women's home here — Humanity Recovery Homes, (909) 374-1114 (Sober Living Network). The CCAPP registry lists no certified residence in the city (CCAPP).

One home is not a market, and it may be full or may not be the right fit for the woman in front of you. We are ten minutes away: women only, gated, MAT welcome, one monthly fee, no deposit. Refer a client.

Getting here from La Verne

Foothill Transit Line 291 runs La Verne – Pomona via Garey and Line 284 runs Glendora – San Dimas – Covina. From Pomona and Claremont, Line 197 runs to Montclair, Line 188 runs Azusa – Claremont – Montclair Transit Center, and Line 480 and the Silver Streak cover the same corridor (Foothill Transit). The Metrolink San Bernardino Line runs Pomona-North to Claremont to Montclair (Metrolink).

At ten minutes, essentially nothing about a woman's life has to change except where she sleeps.
