Women's sober living near Redlands

Redlands has the deepest hospital and treatment set of any city we serve, and it is one of only two cities in this whole service area with a certified recovery residence already in it. We are honest about that: Redlands has real competition. It also has far more discharge volume than one home can absorb.

Treatment and hospitals

Three licensed hospitals sit inside the city. Redlands Community Hospital, 350 Terracina Boulevard, carries 195 licensed beds, 42 emergency department treatment stations and 55,847 emergency visits in 2024. Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center, 1710 Barton Road, is an acute psychiatric hospital with 89 licensed beds. Loma Linda University Surgical Hospital, 26780 Barton Road, adds 28 beds (CHHS facility data).

Five DHCS programmes operate here, all referral partners: Destiny Recovery Center, 1539 Carolyn Court, (818) 914-5165, a licensed six-bed detox; Liberty House Recovery, 710 The Terrace, (909) 754-1712, a licensed eight-bed detox; two Benchmark Transitions outpatient sites on Orange Tree Lane, (818) 209-5011; and New Origins, 101 East Redlands Boulevard, Suite 200, (855) 984-1788 (DHCS licensed facilities).

An 89-bed psychiatric hospital and fourteen detox beds generate exactly the co-occurring, MAT-involved placements that are hardest to house. We provide housing only — no clinical care, no counselling, no case management.

Women's meetings

Redlands has the richest women's meeting list in our whole service area — seven women's AA meetings (Inland Empire AA). They include 12 x 12 Woman, Mondays 12:00 p.m., The Ark Church, 1307 East Citrus Avenue; Women's Candlelite, Mondays 6:30 p.m., Trinity Episcopal Church, 419 South 4th Street; and Ladies, Saturdays 11:00 a.m., 1307 Brookside Avenue (Inland Empire AA).

Residents pick their own recovery support program, secular or faith-based. We do not designate a program, require a particular meeting, or hold meetings at the house.

Survivors of domestic violence

Some of the women we house are leaving an abusive home rather than a treatment bed. For them the housing question is the whole question — the practical alternative to a bed is often going back to the person she left.

We do not publish the address of the house. It is given only to accepted residents and to the agencies that refer them. And to be clear about what this is: Her Aria is not a licensed domestic violence shelter. We do not provide protective services, security services, legal advocacy, restraining order help or safety planning. Those stay with a woman's own advocate, attorney and law enforcement agency.

What Redlands doesn't have

Redlands is a genuine competition city, and we would rather say so. the CCAPP registry lists one recovery residence here — Merito Sober Living, at Level 2 (CCAPP). There are no network listings (Sober Living Network). Redlands and Bloomington are the only two cities in this service area with any certified residence at all.

One home does not absorb three hospitals, an 89-bed psychiatric unit, fourteen detox beds and 55,847 emergency visits. We are 38 minutes west, women only, gated, MAT welcome, one monthly fee, no deposit. Refer a client.

Getting here from Redlands

The Metrolink San Bernardino Line runs from the Redlands stations through San Bernardino, Rialto, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga and Upland directly to Montclair, with Arrow trains connecting Redlands to San Bernardino for the transfer (Metrolink). Omnitrans Route 290 runs Colton – Ontario – Montclair, and Routes 8, 15 and 19 cover Redlands locally (Omnitrans).

This is one of the best transit connections in the service area. A woman placed with us can keep a Redlands job or a Redlands prescriber by rail.
